Thank you for signing up for a Shoreline Cleanup. We have been in contact with the CVRD and have the following information to pass along regarding your shoreline cleanup.

If you are conducting the cleanup on your own, please dispose of waste in the nearest public garbage bin, or include the waste with your household garbage. Please do not dispose of hazardous material such as sharps and fuel in public or household garbage; call the CVRD at 250.746.2540 or 1.800.665.3955 for help with these types of materials. For larger cleanup events, the Cowichan Valley Regional District provides assistance to community organizations by providing support for cleanup materials and free garbage disposal. • For Cowichan Bay, Cowichan River, Koksilah River, Cowichan Lake:

Before proceeding with larger cleanup events, contact the Cowichan Watershed Board at

[email protected] for more information on organizing a cleanup along Cowichan Lake, the Cowichan or Koksilah Rivers, or Cowichan Bay.

• For Shawnigan Lake, Shawnigan Creek:

Before proceeding with larger cleanup events, contact the Shawnigan Basin Society at

[email protected] for more information on organizing a cleanup along Shawnigan Lake or Shawnigan Creek.
