Did you know over 348 million tonnes of plastic are produced annually? For every additional one percent of virgin plastic production, there is an increase of one percent of plastic emissions.

An estimated 36 percent of plastic produced is for packaging – used once and then thrown away or recycled. Unfortunately, recycling alone is not enough to combat this problem. Plastic items are designed for a lot of different properties, but recyclability is not one of them. Plastics are often made of different polymers and additives, making it almost impossible to properly sort and recycle items.
